Exciting News Alert! Standard Unveils Leadership Promotions
Pete Taylor, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Commercial Roofing & Envelope Solutions, recently announced leadership promotions that recognize important contributions to the company.
Kristine Mantel, Standard’s Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to company President. In addition to her continued strong financial oversight, she will guide the company’s strategic vision and oversee its execution. With the company for 13 years, Kristine introduced and implemented EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which has helped the company grow by bettering operations and strengthening the leadership team.
“Kristine believes in and upholds our principles of safety, quality, and responsiveness to customers,” said Pete Taylor. “She promotes a strong team atmosphere, has recruited skilled support personnel, and communicates effectively with our banks and bonding companies. She embodies everything we want in our next generation of leadership.”

Derrick Burnett, Standard’s Senior Vice President, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He will manage the company’s daily operations, working closely with division heads to increase productivity while overseeing bid opportunities. With Standard for over 28 years, Derrick has held various positions within the company where he excelled and has earned the loyalty and trust of others, including customers.
“Over his long career with the company, Derrick has accumulated a vast amount of experience in all facets of the commercial roofing business including production, project management, and estimating. He has trained all our division managers and has proven to be a strong leader and is truly solution-oriented,” said Pete Taylor.
“It is a privilege to be picked for this position,” said Derrick Burnett. “Standard has a great track record of promoting from within, and my career is a testament to that core value. As someone who has grown up in the business and has overseen other divisions, I firmly believe I bring a valuable perspective to Standard’s leadership team.”
