We Maintain Positive Attitudes

Bringing a positive attitude to work every day should be a given. However, we chose to emphasize the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in our core values as a constant reminder to ourselves AND to be able to more easily call others out who may not be exhibiting a positive attitude. We also wanted to reinforce several tenants that we wanted to highlight in order to give guidance to this particular Value:

4. Positive Attitude

  • Friendly
  • Unselfish
  • Not Intimidated

Being friendly to others as often as possible contributes greatly to others' perception that an individual has a generally positive attitude. When an individual is unselfish, they are eager to help others; this is almost always seen as a demonstration of a positive attitude. When someone is easily intimidated, it is very difficult to demonstrate a positive attitude. Therefore, if we constantly remind Standard team members that they should not allow others to intimidate them, it will be much easier for them to be friendly and to eagerly help others.
