You should properly prepare jobsites prior to projects.

While we have covered various elements of jobsite management with several previous entries, we have not covered the importance of jobsite preparation.

Before starting a commercial reroofing or other building envelope maintenance project, it is critical to properly prepare the jobsite for work. This involves several important steps prior to any work actually getting started such as safely removing any obstacles or debris from the roof, ensuring the area to be worked on is clean and free from hazards, and making efforts to protect the surrounding property. It is also important to establish clear jobsite boundaries and install the appropriate signage to ensure the safety of workers and building occupants as well as minimize disruptions to daily operations.

By properly preparing the site for work, you can create a safe and efficient work environment that sets the stage for a successful reroofing or other building envelope maintenance project.
